Passport and Visa Matters |
 The Nigeria Immigration
Service is phasing out the current machine readable passport and replacing it
with an electronic biometric passport. The old passport will remain valid until
2010.

The Embassy celebrated Nigeria’s 48th Independence
Anniversary at the Coral Beach Hotel, Beirut on the 1st of October
2008.
احتفلت السفارة النيجيرية بعيد الاستقلال النيجيري الثامن والأربعين في فندق
الكورال بيتش في بيروت في الأول من تشرين الأول.

NIGERIAN COMMUNITY IN LEBANON
The community segment of the 48th
Independence Anniversary celebrations took place at Jesus and Mary school,
Rabieh in Beirut on 4th October 2008.
Highlights of the event include:
conferment of a "Community support award on Mr. Cletus I. Eke
recognition of members of the Expanded Executive Committee.
