MAKASSED PUPILS VISIT THE EMBASSY

A group of 20 pupils of the Makassed School, Beirut accompanied by their teachers, paid a visit to the Embassy on Tuesday, 29 April 2008. The visit afforded the group the opportunity to savour some of Nigeria’s culinary delights such as Akara and moi-moi produced out of grounded beans as well as Dodo or fried plantain. They also watched a documentary on the preparation of these delicacies.

 At The 7^th Lebanese International Conference on Local Government which held in Beit-Mery in April 2008, the Nigerian Ambassador gave an expose of the “Devolution Of Powers In The Nigerian Administrative System.” 

تلاميذ المقاصد يزورون السفارة

قام حوالى 20 طالب، في 29 نيسان 2008 من مدرسة المقاصد، في بيروت بزيارة السفارة، برفقة أساتذتهم. وتمكنوا خلال زيارتهم من تذوق والاستمتاع ببعض الأطباق النيجيرية ومنها أكارو ومواموا، والدودو النباتية. كما أنّهم شاهدوا وثائقي حول طريقة تحضير هذه الأطباق.

انتخبت الجالية النيجيرية في لبنان كبار مسؤوليها الإداريين، خلال احتفال نُظم في المركز المدني، في الدورة، إحدى ضواحي بيروت، في الأول من شهر حزيران 2008.
